Houston, We Have a Problem

"A fire at Tupperware's Hemingway facility damaged a warehouse Tuesday. No one was injured in the fire, but it could cause disruption in the company's distribution. The cause of the fire has not been determined."

We have received word from Tupperware headquarters, and I'd like to share with you what they have told us.

Q: I placed an order and haven't received it yet. Was it affected?

Orders placed after December 7th, that have not yet shipped, were affected by the fire. However, all orders placed by 11:59pm today will be expedited to ensure that they still arrive in time for Christmas.

Unfortunately, product and color substitutions will be made in some cases, and although Tupperware is working very hard to prevent it, there is a small chance that some products could be backordered. I am expecting to receive a detailed list today of which products will be substituted. As soon as that list arrives, I will call anyone who's order will be affected.

Please know that if your order has substitutions, or if any of your products have to be backordered, we will include a coupon with your order as our apology and gratitude for your understanding in such a difficult situation.

As soon as I finish calling affected customers, I will post the list for everyone to see which items will be substituted. Rest assured that if you see the list here, but didn't receive a call, your order will remain unchanged. Again, all orders placed up to this point are expected to arrive in time for Christmas.

Q: What products are going to be available for purchase?

Today will be the last day to purchase any items included in the December sales brochure. Along with the list of substitutions, I also will be receiving a list of products that will be available for purchase, and will post that as soon as it's received.

Q: I wanted to sign up for a Tupperware Membership. What about the new kits?

By all means, don't miss out on the amazing price for our new kit! Delivery of business kits will also be uninterrupted. Substitutions should be expected as follows:

• Our new Heat N Serve 5-Cup Square Round container will replace the 6 1/4-Cup Round.
• The Universal Peeler color will vary between Chili and White
• There may be substitutions for the Simple Indulgence Seasoning Blends

Q: What about my fundraiser?

All current Fundraiser items will remain open for orders through 11:59 p.m. your local time on Friday, January 4. Substitutions may occur. As soon as I have more information regarding this, I'll let everyone know.
